Discrete Math / Business Statistics

Business Statistics is a new course comprised of one semester of Statistics and one semester of Discrete Mathematics. The statistics semester will use real-world examples and investigations to explore four Statistics topics: Observational Studies, Surveys, Experiments and Drawing Conclusions. Students will examine study designs, analyze data, interpret results and design and carrying out their own studies. The Discrete Mathematics semester is logic-based and covers topics that are important to understanding current uses of mathematics in such fields as economics, biology, psychology, sociology, education, political science, business, engineering, and computer science (graphic design, software engineering, programming, messaging systems, cryptography, data mining).

Both semesters are required for course credit.
