The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) at CPS (through the Facilities Department) will be visiting Lane Tech after school Thursday Feb 12 to talk about internship opportunities for graduating seniors. The CIP Summer Internship Program is specifically designed for students interested in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction Management. Firms in these industries who are hired by CPS are in turn required to hire graduating seniors from CPS. As Lane Tech will be part of a large capital project over the next two years, this summer offers a unique opportunity to a small number of Lane Tech students to work on the renovation project taking place at their school. This is in addition to other internships across the city for which Lane Tech students are also obviously eligible and encouraged to apply.
Internships are for the summer of 2015 and are paid. The duration of the internship varies by company and student but is in the range of 6-10 weeks, 30-40 hours/week at $10/hour.
